A ‘floating’ moment

Originally posted on 07 May 2022

A warm Saturday morning at the Farmers’ Market, my family and I are sitting in the sunny spot of the garden. We’ve made ourselves comfortable on our picnic rug. On either sides of it are other picnic rugs and families that are friends of ours, some we knew from before and have reconnected to lately, some, regulars at this market like us and became friends, some we met through another connection and have joined us there that day.
The live band is so good, they’re playing joyful latino music and the singer is great!

I’m loving the whole atmosphere and I experience a state of romance and love savouring at that scene. I was floating in that romance and time hung for a while.

All these people I mentioned here are my friends. I am the common person between them otherwise strangers to each other. I connected with them through the women in these family units. Strong, beautiful and inspiring women. I have a little tribe now, five years since I made this land my second home. I had waited so long for this moment and I am grateful I got to experience it.
